SELLING HANDICRAFTS
to empower women in Pakistan
A few weeks ago SEENAH Cares was launched and with it emerged a couple of student initiated projects. The first is a project in Pakistan championed by 11th grader Deena Habib. Deena coordinated with volunteers to support the sale of handicrafts to help women in Pakistan through her connections with an NGO called RLCC. Deena feels that it is important to support the sale of handicrafts to help the women become self-sustainable. Deena raised over AED 1500 at the Carnival and SEENAH Cares has pledged to match it.

Deena worked on this program through her Junior and Senior years at ASD.
